This is a tiny sample of real-life examples to show what happens with other packages. These were found with just a few minutes of looking around the web for sites using our competitor's products. There are plenty more, and yours may be one of them! :-O

A short explanation is below these pictures.

Example 1

Note the cropped text at both sides. In this case the text is still readable, but looks unprofessional at best.

Example 3

On the "Choose a Builder" button, see how the text extends past the edge of the button?

The "Contact Us" button shows what happens with the "rollover" text, which is off-center up and to the right.

When seen in action, the mis-registration is MUCH more obvious than these static images show.

Example 4

In this case the text links are actually obscured by the content area. Below, the "Your Source" text is extra large and partially obscures the copyright notice.

Why does this happen?

The sad truth is that when using standard Java even something as simple as a rectangle does not draw exactly the same in all major browsers. Java text gets rendered by each platform's native graphics engine, and they all render somewhat differently. There is no easy workaround for Java developers. We took the hard path:

Immedia developed our own tiny, but powerful graphics engine that is guaranteed to render all graphics AND text 100% pixel-for-pixel identical on all browsers on all platforms!
